About Us

In the mid-1980s, the Ingra House emerged when a duplex and an 8-plex apartment building we converted to rent rooms instead of whole apartments.  The owners rented to roommates who wanted to pay for just their room and not be liable for the apartment's rent in whole.  After remodeling the buildings into a "Rooming House" environment the first rates began at $65/week for a fully furnished room.

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the Ingra House provided safe and affordable to locals in between long term housing and visitors alike.  The Ingra House also supplied housing for local non-profit organizations looking to house people with disabilities and victims of abuse.

Reconstruction

In 2005, the old Ingra House was demolished with plans to build a modern European styled hotel in its place. By Spring in 2006, the current Ingra House was completed.

The blend of old school charm with the modern amenities comprise the Ingra House into the building it is today.  Safe, secure, and affordable housing is what is provided to our valued guests!
